The organization celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the pandemic, four events were able to occur this winter, all in Saint-Nazaire. Despite a limited audience, everyone was very happy to be back at the races. The president, Mario Simard, was in his first year as president of the circuit and the committee had many new members.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“We welcomed 200-250 visitors per event due to sanitary measures. The riders were present, especially on motorcycles. Last weekend, we had 36 registrations in all categories, mentions Mario Simard. We also had newcomers in our minibike category and for us, it is important to value their participation and put them all on the same footing. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image media=”109146″ caption=”yes” media_width_percent=”87″ media_ratio=”four-three” alignment=”right”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1\/1″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Rising after the storm<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

After two years without races, this year has been quite a challenge for the organization. Fortunately, athletes came from all over Quebec to take part in these competitions, which bring together the three disciplines on the same circuit (Motorcycle, ATV and snowmobile on an ice oval).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“On February 26, we had a lot of athletes who arrived from out of town to participate in the event. We have to mention it because it is important\u2009to underline the road that runners are ready to take to practice their sport despite the current pandemic. \u00bb\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

All on the starting line<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Champions well known in Valcourt such as Nicolas Poudrier, Jimmy Lebel, Yan Tremblay and Michael N\u00e9ron were very well ranked.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“\u2009The F500 category does not go unnoticed with champions familiar to the public, adds Mario Simard. For the championship this year, it was Jimmy Lebel who won first place, Nicolas Poudrier second and Nathan Fr\u00e9chette finished in 3rd position. They put up a good show!”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

With the season now over, the committee is satisfied to have been able to hold races this year despite a challenging timeline for the preparation of the event.
