They pass on their passion to fans and deliver the most professional coverage of what is happening on the Quebec circuit. A story that began almost two years ago and is not ready to cross the finish line anytime soon.<\/p>\n

It was during an evening with friends watching races on television that the idea of transmitting and writing news on a platform took shape. And President Tommy Lavall\u00e9e decided to bring this project to fruition by opening a Facebook page to share content and his passion for competitions on clay.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image media=”109505″ caption=”yes” media_width_percent=”100″ alignment=”right” uncode_shortcode_id=”129417″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ width=”1\/1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”718263″]\u201cIt all started like that [\u2026] in October 2020, indicates the director and treasurer, Martin Savoie. We were a gang of friends who helped him. We passed on news; sometimes we wrote things for him. At some point [\u2026], he asked us if we wanted to board with him. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

Les Gars de Courses therefore created their company and put a website online to inform fans of the various news mainly affecting races on clay, but also, on occasion, those on asphalt. The objective: to make the sport known to as many followers as possible.<\/p>\n

“People’s reaction since we started has been very positive,” rejoices Martin Savoie. What we want is to bring out the positive side of things; give visibility to the pilots, to the teams. By doing this, it gives visibility [also] to their sponsors. At the end of the line, that’s what’s most important in this. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

We do it because we like it<\/h2>\n

Every weekend, from May to October, the Les Gars de Courses team keeps a fairly busy schedule where everyone is involved from near or far, in their own way. Staff already work at Autodrome Granby, Autodrome Drummond, or RPM Speedway, which makes it easier to cover the action on the circuit.<\/p>\n

Description and online dissemination of races, interviews, articles, social networks; nothing escapes Les Gars de Courses to ensure complete and professional coverage of each event, without even counting the hours. Quite simply because they are passionate about these cars that travel at high speed, revving their engines and offering a most competitive spectacle.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do this for fun, for pleasure, explains Martin Savoie. We don’t even do this to withdraw money. We do it because we like it. [\u2026] We want to pass on [our passion] to people. We really do it for the fun of it. At the same time, it’s a nice gang trip. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

People want to know<\/h2>\n

Since the beginning of their adventure, Les Gars de Courses have been able to build credibility and a reputation in the field thanks to the dedicated involvement of the fifteen people who revolve around the team.<\/p>\n

Among all the ideas that have become reality, that of the podcast ranks high on the list of these racing enthusiasts. Every Tuesday, they stick to the news to talk about different topics concerning clay and asphalt racing in Quebec.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe go there according to what is happening, what is current, explains Martin Savoie. Basically, we are glued to the news, that’s why we don’t do anything too early. People want to know what happened in the last two or three days. We really try to stick to the news [\u2026] in the short term. Our podcast is something we are very proud of because it has evolved over time. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to having already taken up the challenge of presenting special coverage for the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivi\u00e8res and for the Cornwall Motor Speedway, Les Gars de Courses recently launched cards on the dirt racers. Enough to increase the flame of collectors! And the success was immediate.<\/p>\n

“It’s gone in time to say it, admits Martin Savoie. We are working on a reprint and a second series in August. Popularity has returned. It is really beyond our expectations. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

Who knows, maybe you’ll also be lucky enough to get your hands on a card from your favorite runner? One thing is certain, the season promises a great show on the various clay circuits! Be there!<\/p>\n
